Recently my appetite been really cranky, although I'm super hungry mentally...the moment I start to eat, I feel like I'm full already...I now only eat at most half a bowl of rice, can even dun eat the whole dae :S

Everyone kws I'm super big eater yet even my mum observe tis as well, she keep saying jialat liao, how come my appetite can reduce to like tis...and she keep saying must be due to my work stress...I also duno wat causes tis...

Being working real late since coming back sg, worked til 1 am even for one of the nites...

Feel quite loss suddenly whether it is the type of job I would want to work, got advice from my best fren to stay as the prospects is there...
Cos Boss told me that I would hv to handle a 1 mil project soon and with so much exposure nowadaes, I might take over another account as Team/Tech Lead..

Haiz dilemma, tink maybe will stick around for a moment b4 deciding on the right track for me...

Financial Planning

It is only when I'm approaching my "mid-life crisis" that I realise the importance of financial education. I do not know whether is it just me alone that I'm not taught the importance of financial management when young. When I talk about financial management, I do not mean by save save save in bank then just leave there to accumulate, what I mean is by saving, investing, insurance etc. I find it funny that Singaporeans are often complaining "Money not enough" yet we are not taught the core topics of cash management.

That is when I ponder why Financial Planning is not incorporated as one of the compulsory subjects in Secondary Schools. I'm sure a lot of us especially guys have momentary splurges, e.g. let's say around 2 years ago the "in thing" is Playstation 2, then all of us will take up holiday jobs etc to finance the purchase. Thus, for someone to have more than $5000 they save themselves in their bank is a miracle among my school mates.

There is still a tinge of regret when i think back the days when I should have invested even in fixed deposit ;P
Anyway I will make sure I will emphasize this point to my kids next time so that they are able to focus on enjoying their lives more, instead of having to crack their head s every time the ways to earn more income etc.

Woah, just sort of finished with my 2 projects as I have rushed through them regarding the development, UAT, deployment etc etc. It had been hectic weeks for me, running around the clients' place, getting things done and solved and back to office to report the progress.

This busy schedule make my flu bug got worse and hence i got a fever last wkend. Luckily I got well fast as I got well taken care of by my gf ;P ( Thanks dear a million~~! ) but now she's sick, so its my turn to take care of her liao~ Hee~ ;)

Anyway finally got a breather this week trying to tie up the loose ends, doing reports, documentations, installation guides and more paperwork~~~ I never know I can detest them so much, guess I don't have the flair for writing things like "Install blah blah by clicking on blah blah" ;P
Haiz guess I need some time and a lot of energy to get these paperwork done....When is my well deserved holiday coming~~?? ;<

CNY Festive Season

Went to chinatown last fri for dinner and wow~ the festive mood and lightings there really stunned me. After a filling dinner, a walk down the busy stalls and enchanting lightings really is a fulfilling thing to do.
The lighted bamboos ;P, lighted robotic dogs swaying to the music and firecrackers sounds, bustling marketplace selling new yr goodies & decorations and even laser displays of the 十二生肖 all adds up to the festive mood of the upcoming Chinese New Year.
Seated at the bridge connecting two buildings together, one can really bask in the mood of happiness and bliss from the festive atmosphere and the company with me ;P

This has been a much delayed entry as I've been really busy these days, without switching on my comp at home.
We went to Mushroom Pot for dinner and hmmmmm the food is not bad but the price is quite on the ex side but nevertheless haha I'm really full after the meal.
Afterwhich we went to Esplanade for the viewing of the fireworks etc but haizzz the crowd is really overwhelming, so we only managed until the empty space between Esplanade and Marina Square.
Woah but the fireworks was really worth the wait, as ys and I made new yr resolutions for this 2006 ahead~~ ;P

Employee Recognition Award

Last fri, had my first company dept function at Raffles Town Club after my 1 mth plus stay with them. It was quite funny especially for the fact that I'm the youngest among them and we started off bowling with them. After a strenuous 2 games, we went off to the chinese restaurant for our dinner.

Dinner was good, but we spent around 2 hrs eating it and I nearly fell aslp haha ;P Halfway through I was surprised there was a prize presentation for those whom the company believe has contributed to the success of the dept for this year.
They called my name after a few presentations~?!?! Can you believe it, I have worked for only 1 mth plus and they give me this Employee Recognition Award.

Wah feel quite shocked and funny as some of the older employees also never got this, so feel quite paiseh also.
But anyway at least they recognised my efforts right? Hee~ ;P
Hope I can bond better with my dept as I'm a bit anti-social in the company.
Continue to slog to achieve better results~ ;P

Hey guys its official, I took up the job as an IT trainer already. Today is my first day of teaching and hey I'm not bad ok haha, talking and teaching non stop for 3 hrs...its a feat which I don't even think I can achieve previously.

But tomorrow's lesson is a freaking 6 hours~~~Ahhhh~ god save me~~
I hope I can really withstand tomorrow's lesson.

Woah I'm feeling the strain with one job on hand already, having this lethargic body and tired mind to drag with after work everyday...But can you imagine I'm getting another wkend job to be an IT trainer~!!! This means I will practically be working without resting everyday including Sat and Sun. As I played this song again today on my guitar, I experience a totally different feeling as compared to previous times. I guess it must be due to attending Xylia and Elvis wedding dinner yesterday. Cleared For Civilian Life

Heh heh ever since shifting everything from my bunk in camp back to home last Friday, I have been clearing the load of stuff in boxes which I have sealed to mark the near end of my Army life. It takes me 2-3 days to finish packing the mountain of stuff in my room and finally finished today.

Phew, guess it sort of round up the stuff I have done for the last 2 years 4 months. Ok! Time to look forward to the rebirth of my civilian life~

I must say that I have a long history of "book drought" since I have left sec sch but as some of my frens know that I have re-picked up some books maybe due to boredom or perhaps in need of some "mind-stimulating" before I stepped back into the civilian world. Some of the titles include Dan Brown series like Angels & Demons, Digital Fortress etc. But recently due to stumbling into the trailer of the upcoming Harry Potter movie: Goblet of Fire, that I re-read this book again.

As the show trails back to the past where initially a lot of ppl went for the audition and narrowed down to eventually fewer and fewer until the finals at the National Indoor Stadium, it suddenly dawned upon me how time slowly trickled by unknowingly....

It has been a few months since this contest started and this fad has been seeping into every Singaporean's everyday life. The media keep having talk shows and discussions on this show and ultimately Weilian won this whole thing~

Most of you may know that I'm not a tv addict or media craze but this show has caught me when I heard Weilian during one of the stages singing 孤单的夜里我不孤单 by 陈晓东 (correct me if I wrote wrongly or sth about the song title ;P)
I was totally touched by this song and I guess I was really enthralled by the impact his voice has.

Nevertheless I followed through with all the other stages, faithfully catching every telecast from start to end. I'm sure that most of you peeps out there will agree with me that actually both Weilian and Kelly are worthy winners of this but I must say that Weilian definitely deserved the winner of this contest.

Hope that he will be successful in his future singing career~

Job Interview...

Phew....finally got the drive to blog again after what seems like a long time to me hehe. By the way I went for a job interview yesterday at a company which does software and at the same time advertising videos etc. It has been a long time since I wore business wear after my intern in poly? I also forgot but I must be very awkward in this attire as I can't help fidgetting during the interview haha.

I guess I must have been really out of touch of this kind of things as he keep asking me my knowledge of the programming skills etc that I'm like not really answering his questions e.g. Him: "So what's your skill level on using Macromedia Flash?"
Me: "I guess I'm quite alright, let's say 6 upon 10 for my proficiency..."
Him: "So I presume you are quite proficient in actionscript also?"
Me: "Yah...actionscript...yeah I did it in my projects as well..."
Him: "So any examples of your project work that you can show me based on this?"
Me: "Hmmm yah I can send the link or project to you to let you have a glimpse"

Haha I guess I must have screwed up on this interview but who knows, maybe they will accept me? (I'm too optimistic~)

Once again, time for me to mass distribute my resume.
Any helpful comments to assist me in my next job interview? Hehe

Reality Bites

I guess this is more than good enough to describe the situation I'm in currently. After what seems like a long time in the Army, I have realised my "break" is coming to a full-stop as my ORD hour glass is nearly draining out.

Although I have learnt a lot of things, skills or whatsoever, the harsh reality will always come that the choices are more apparent to me than ever: whether to work and study part time, going overseas for studies or work first then study full time next yr. I guess the latter is what I'm more inclined towards ...

My IT skills have to be re-learnt since it has already all been returned to my good-ol lecturer back in my poly and I guess my music passion is more becoming of a second priority than ever.
I guess I have to keep on mass mailing my resumes for now so as to secure a job after I ORDed, hope to get to enjoy these remaining days as a soldier . . . . . .
